We’re doing it again this year—let us do it!
“fukuoka folk festival”
This year, 2025, it’s Saturday, October 11th.
Just like last year, it’s scheduled to be held at Maizuru Park’s Sannomaru Plaza in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City!
Free admission and viewing!!
Besides live music, there are booths by handmade artisans and artists, food stalls, and food trucks—it’s a lot of fun!
Back in 2020…
No crowding, okay?
…It began as a personal project launched during these challenging times with a studio livestream without an audience, but with the help of many people, it grew to finally hold its first outdoor live event last year in 2024.
And now, before the organizers could even catch up to that growth rate, get this!
Preparations are already underway for an outdoor event this year in 2025!!
That’s the situation.
This year, we’re also participating in the Fukuoka Citizens’ Art Festival!
After all, the musicians appearing on stage are all based in Fukuoka.
While many of these names may be familiar to core local music fans who regularly visit live houses, for those who aren’t…
“…Who is it?”
A live event where many appear.
But you see, that’s precisely where I, Napoli, believe the real thrill lies!
That’s precisely where I believe the real thrill lies!
Imagine all the people
Souzou site mite kudasai…
The encounter with that one fateful song might just happen in places like this…
It might be out there!
It could be out there!!
No, it definitely has to be out there!
Don’t you all want to find it?
That one fated song you’d never encounter even if you paid for TV, radio, and streaming services!!
That’s the spirit we’re creating events with.
I’d be thrilled if just one song I heard at a free concert in a park I happened to wander into sparked more interest in Fukuoka’s musicians.
But that’s part of the fun!
If you can’t make loud noises, then it doesn’t have to be deafening, right?
All you need to do is send out a powerful message that resonates in people’s hearts instead!
You gotta show that love and peace isn’t just lip service, you know?![]()
Event Title
“fukuoka folk festival”
When you take the initial letters, it becomes “fff,” which is “fortissimo” in musical terms.
It also carries the meaning:
“We can’t make loud sounds, but we’ll deliver the strongest sound possible!”
Huh? Isn’t it amazing that I’m thinking this? Holy crap!
(Isn’t fortissimo supposed to be loud? No idea!)
Anyway, I mean, the story of some unknown team with no money and no connections pulling off an outdoor music festival in an urban area that’s definitely not ideal for music events—that’s pretty dramatic and socially meaningful, don’t you think?!
Can you hear me? Big shots!
Um… We’re waiting for interview requests from all media outlets.
Well, but putting on a free outdoor music event is no walk in the park!!!
No walk in the park, huh.
Frankly, we’re short on both money and manpower.
So anyway…
Please cheer me on!!
We’ve set up a shop site to sell original goods and also accept donations, so please do stop by and take a look!
All proceeds will be used 100% to fund event operations.
We’d also be incredibly grateful if you could help spread the word. We’d love that!
We’re also recruiting volunteer staff for the day.
Thank you in advance! ♪
See you soon! (*´ω`*)
